Why Jaunt Log
Jaunt Log turns visited places into a personal geographic history — not a social feed, not a checklist for strangers. A quiet, accurate record of where you’ve been and what it meant.

Journal
Jaunt Log turns visits into a personal journey log — chronological, geographic, and quietly yours. Each entry keeps its date, place, journey context and memories together, like a field journal you don’t have to remember to write.
Photo discovery
Jaunt Log can use supported photo metadata already on your iPhone to help discover past visits from your existing library — so you don’t have to manually enter every place you’ve ever explored.
Photo analysis happens on your device where applicable. Original photos stay in your Photos library. No Jaunt Log account or server upload is required to use photo discovery. Availability depends on photos that contain supported date and location metadata.
Progress
Collect experiences, not cartoon rewards. See visited counts, regional completion and gentle milestones — a mature sense of progress that rewards curiosity.
Badges shown are real examples from the app (First Jaunt, Trail Starter, Park Pioneer, Garden Wanderer, Heritage Keeper, Region Complete). No invented achievements are displayed.
Privacy
Jaunt Log is designed around your personal data, not around collecting it. Your history is primarily managed on your device — no social profile, no account required, no advertising-focused tracking experience.
We don’t claim “nothing ever leaves your device.” For example, map tiles and optional diagnostics may involve network requests as described in the app’s Privacy screen. See the in-app Privacy section for the accurate, current wording.

How it works
Walk the coast, wander a garden, step into a historic hall. Jaunt Log quietly recognises where you are — using on-device location and offline place data.
